Church Walk Veterinary Centre - 2021 New Graduate Programme - Small Animal Vet 

A rare opportunity has arisen for a New Graduate small animal vet to join our team here at Church Walk Veterinary Centre, a two centre small animal practice based in the small market town of Ulverston, with a busy branch in Barrow in Furness. We pride ourselves on first class clinical and client services. You will be supported by a fantastic team of RVN's, Head Nurse, Lead Vet and Practice Manager.

The charming, bustling, Market Town of Ulverston is famous as the birthplace of Stan Laurel, and is known as the “Festival Town”. The town has a cobbled Market Square many specialist shops and several restaurants and pubs. The stunning Lake District National Park is only a 20 minute drive away, with unlimited options for hiking, cycling, climbing etc. making this a haven for outdoor enthusiasts! Junction 36 of the M6 can be reached within 30 minutes, giving easy access to visit Scotland and other parts of England

As well as enjoying our modern facilities, well equipped practice and a busy varied caseload, you will have access to a range of benefits and our tailor made New Graduate programme offering you the right support network in practice by ensuring you have an experienced clinical mentor working alongside you in your practice. In addition, you will attend dedicated Continued Professional Development (CPD) days, supporting the development of your clinical skills and non-clinical skills, including self-leadership, teamwork, wellbeing, resilience and business, whilst also providing the opportunity for you to share experiences with fellow graduates.

  • Salary of £31,000 which increases to £33,500 at the end of year 1 and £36,500 at the end of year 2
