Manchester Veterinary Specialists is a purpose built, small animal referral centre, located less than 2 miles from junction 14 of the M60. Together with the support of a friendly, highly trained and vastly experienced team we aim to combine clinical excellence with compassionate care.

We are seeking an enthusiastic surgical technician to work alongside our nursing team in a support role.  The position requires a keen interest in veterinary surgery, as well as a passion for inpatient care.  You will be required to participate in a broad variety of duties, ranging from animal handling, the preparation of patients for theatre, the processing of surgical instrumentation and the provision of postoperative care.

The ideal candidate should be a reliable, hardworking and a committed team member who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care.  This position will ideally suit someone with experience of working with companion animals or in a human operating theatre. Experience of veterinary practice is advantageous albeit not essential as we are committed to providing relevant support and training.

The normal working week will comprise of shifts between the hours of 7am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. In addition you will participate in a 1:3 weekend morning rota. Applicants seeking full or part time hours will be considered.
