A Beginner's Guide to Being a Vet!

An essential CPD course for all new graduates!

Do you have a job yet?

Do you feel ready to hit the ground running and start practicing from day oWhat is wrong with this dog?ne now you are qualified?

If not or you just want to give yourself the very best chance of landing your dream job then read on...

The veterinary jobs market is more competitive than ever and unfortunately employers expectations of the abilities of new graduates are going up and up.

When I qualified I know that I personally lacked some really basic knowledge that would have made my first few months in practice SOOOO much easier, and I wasn't alone with most of my friends feeling the same.  That's why I have put together this really helpful two-day CPD (Continued Professional Development) course aimed at all new graduates.

Having regularly mentored vet students from most of the UK vet schools I know that although the standard of teaching is very high there is still a huge gap in your knowledge between what you need to pass finals and what you need to know to appear professional and knowledgeable on day one!  It's no good coming top in finals if you look like an idiot on day one because you didn't know what flea treatment to give "Tiddles" or not knowing what antibiotic to use for joint ill or what the detection time is for Danilon in the racehorse that you just accidentally "doped".

A recent survey of practicing vets concluded "the skills of the recent graduate are in need of improvement"1

In just 1 day (or 2 days if you are going into mixed practice) we will try to fill the huge void between what you learned at vet school and what you need to start work on day one and make you much more attractive to employers!
