Description

Enthusiastic new or recent graduate wanted for a small animal position at our vibrant independent practice.

If you are looking for a job where you work alongside an enthusiastic and friendly team, get supported by experienced colleagues, and live in a beautiful area on the edge of the New Forest with good links to London, Southampton and Bristol, then look no further!

We have an amazing opportunity for a new/recent graduate to come and join our expanding team. We are a nine vet, three branch practice (one RCVS Hospital and two branch surgeries) on the beautiful south coast with a young, fun team who are used to supporting each other. With the sea on one side, the New Forest on the other and Bournemouth just a 15 minute drive away there’s plenty of space to have a life outside of work and our rota gives you the time to carry on the activities you love. We work a 3.5-day week (consults finishing at 5pm) and share the on call and weekend rota.  Salary is dependent on experience with a new grad starting salary of £30,000.

20 minute appointments will give you time with your patients, and our experienced vets and superb qualified nurses are always on hand to help, including a number of certificate-holders within the team who are happy to share their experience (surgery, ophthalmology, cardiology and ECC). We discuss cases at daily rounds and provide back up for on call work so you can build your confidence dealing with more complex and emergency cases. We have two full-time VetGDP advisors and the successful candidate will have the option of enrolling on the Graduate vet program organised by our partners at XLVets.

Our independent status means you will never be just a number but a valued individual member of our team. We pride ourselves on protecting the welfare of our staff - regular fruit baskets, welfare days with a visiting masseuse, and a social tennis evening are just a few examples of recent efforts to make our team feel appreciated.

We have a rich history of supporting young vets reach their goals and our recent graduates would be happy to chat to you about what it’s like to work at Priory Vets.

To start the conversation, please contact Nicola, our practice manager, on info@prioryvetgroup.com or call us on 01202 484466.
