Veterinary Nurse - Leicester

£19,505 - £21,673 per annum

37.5 hours per week

About the Role:

 

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Veterinary Nurse (VN) who will provide a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst promoting pet wellbeing, supporting Veterinary Surgeons to deliver preventive services and to treat sick and injured pets of eligible clients.

 

Working as part of a team that supports in theatre, provides inpatient care and carries out consults, admissions and discharges, our Veterinary Nurses are also involved in dispensing medication, encouraging financial contributions from clients and maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the hospital and equipment.

 

Depending on the needs of the hospital we have Veterinary Nurses working both full and part time hours, with opportunities for career progression at PDSA for the right candidate.

 

Leicester PDSA Pet Hospital has a hard working and passionate team, with a breadth of experience ranging from apprentices to ovr 30 years experience. We see a high caseload every day, with a mixture of consulting and operating, where we balance our mission to prevent, educate and treat all the pets we see.  

 

Our teamwork and caseload enables plenty of opportunity for the development of skills and knowledge, where you can learn more in a year than most do in a career!  

 

We understand that you need a work-life balance, so we are happy to say we close at 7pm, have no OOH and no on call commitments.

About You:

 

The successful candidate will be a Qualified RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, expected to keep your professional knowledge updated by taking part in continuous professional development and will be committed to the vision and mission of PDSA.
