Description

Vacancy A: Part Time nights (permanent)

Vacancy B: Full Time (1 year fixed term contract)

Vacancy C: Full Time (permanent)

Our dedicated and professional teams at our busy 1st opinion and referral practices within Abington Park Veterinary Group are committed to delivering excellent service.  Work has begun to extend our existing Moulton site enabling us to offer advanced imaging along with our medical and surgical referral service, so it is an exciting time to come on board.

Vacancy A: Part Time nights (permanent)

The EVS RVN will work as part of a team of 3 staff working through the night to manage and monitor in-patients and deal with emergency situations.  You should remain equally self-motivated and productive during shifts which may be pressured, or may offer the chance to tackle infrequent jobs.  The ability to work successfully at night and stay calm under pressure will be key.  The preferred candidate will have previous night work experience, and be a productive and strong team player keen to work in an emergency care environment. Hours of work average 19.25 per week, 12 hour shifts (7.30pm – 7.30am) worked on a shift pattern of 2 nights on, 6 nights off, so some weekend working is included.

Vacancy B: Full Time (1 year fixed term contract)

We are looking for a nurse to join our Abington practice to support our existing first opinion team.  The preferred candidate will be a committed, enthusiastic, and hard-working RVN who is a strong team player keen to improve their skills. This position includes emergency work, critical care nursing and the opportunity to assist in a range of surgical procedures. There will also be the opportunity to become a Clinical Coach.  Hours of work will be Monday – Friday (a mixture of early and late shifts) with 1 weekend day every 4 weeks (corresponding weekday off).  Bank holiday working on a rota basis.  This is a 12 month maternity cover contract.

Vacancy C: Full Time (permanent)

An opportunity has arisen to join our team on a permanent basis working across our Abington & Moulton sites on a 4-week rota (2 weeks at each site).  Work pattern includes 4 nights (Monday – Thursday) and a long weekend off during each 4 week period, with the rest of the shifts mixed early and late weekday shifts – no weekends.  Shift premiums paid for nights worked and on call duties (7 day period every 8 weeks).

A full driving licence is needed for all roles as you may be required to drive the practice ambulance to collect animals.  Applicants should also be fit enough to cope with the physical demands of the role – lifting/restraining animals and cleaning.

In return, we can offer a competitive salary, plus benefits including monthly in-house CPD, an annual CPD allowance of up to £500, pension scheme, staff discount (after probation) and opportunities for progression within our team of 35+ nurses.

To apply for this position, please send your CV to dloding@independentvetcare.co.uk or call 07702333522 for more information.
