Parkvets is proud to provide its own OOH service, ensuring that the quality of care our patients receive is as strong overnight as it is during the day.  The high quality of our night team is vital in order for us to be able to make this claim and we are looking for an experienced RVN with a passion for emergency and in-patient care, to join us.
Working a 4 nights on, 4 nights off pattern your role will involve supporting the night vet as you both work through to each morning.  Starting at 8pm and finishing at 8am sees you overlapping with the day team and feeling very much a part of the Parkvets team.  You in turn have 2 VCAs to lean on, and with a busy case load and a growing number of practices sending cases to us, there is always plenty to do.
You will need to be organised and assertive, confident to take control when needed but empathetic and a good communicator.
Your nursing skills will be biased towards emergency critical care but we will support you through further training if you need it.
The team is tremendously supportive and there is a second on call rota for you to fall back on when the going gets tough.  CPD and in-house training are actively encouraged, as are progression and development.
