Your New Practice:You will be working at a 4.5 vet, 12 support staff dedicated small animal practice which is 24/7. This practice has JUST opened with all new equipment and amazing facilities but already has started to develop a client base with an exciting and diverse caseload. You will be working in a very modern with a lovely positive support staff team (including 6 RVNs) to help us both in the consulting rooms (where they help both in developing rewarding relationships with clients and sharing the workload!) and back of house taking on the care of in patients and surgical cases. You will as part of our team, be helping us to deliver affordable veterinary care to clients from all our Midlands clinics 24 hours a day giving you an interesting and stimulating first job in practice. Your new workplace has great transport links, close to Birmingham and onsite staff parking. The group consists of 5 Midlands practices, who between them have some 30 vets, including two large 24 hour hospitals. We have a range of modern equipment and we are a training practice. Across the group we try and place 3-6 new graduate vets every year so we are happy and used to supporting vet surgeons in their early years in practice

Your New Role: You will have a great rota as our vets work 40hr weeks, on a rolling rota so that nights/weekends are equally shared whilst minimising burn-out! Your medical and surgical skills will be developed and used to their full potential and additional professional development is supported and encouraged. You will be exposed to a range of different duties and experiences in order for you to find your preferred role. The nursing team provide the OOH in patient care and two of them are studying towards ECC certificates so they are a great source of help and knowledge. The team readily help each other to be the best we can!

What you need to succeed: you will need to be registered with the RCVS by the start date of the programme in order to be eligible. You will need to be keen to take on any professional development opportunities that are available and committed to starting and enjoying a career as a Vet.
