Vetorapid, an on farm test to support targeted treatment decisions

Vetoquinol has launched VetoRapid, an on farm test to support targeted treatment decisions. VetoRapid can be used as a first line diagnostic tool designed to aid in basic identification of the main pathogens that cause clinical mastitis E.coli, Staphylococci and Streptococci. The tool is simple to use and easy to read with reliable results. VetoRapid can be either used on-farm by your clients in a clean environment or in-house at your practice.

A trial at the University of Glasgow found that VetoRapid provided a rapid preliminary identification of five common causes of bovine mastitis (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, coagulase-negative staphylococci, Streptococcus uberis and Enterococcus species) under field conditions.
