Zoetis Supports Vets With Social Media Worm Control Campaign

Zoetis Ltd has introduced ‘Time it Right’ #timeitright - a quick and easy practical guide on using social media to promote spring and summer worm control. The initiative will help veterinary practices raise awareness of the importance of sustainable worm control and build communication with their clients, supporting the health of horses.

The new spring and summer worm control campaign builds on the success of Zoetis’s autumn/winter social media campaign, which was conducted through their popular HorseDialog channel.

The practical guide, which comes as a PDF, takes the practice week by week through suggested content to post.  The easy guide includes everything needed to put together a successful social media campaign:

·      Collecting contact data
·      How to promote digital assets
·      Refreshing and enhancing clinical team knowledge prior to the campaign
·      Setting up the marketing strategy
·      Campaign content with calls to action and links to blogs and videos
·      Post campaign worksheet and benchmarking to quantify campaign success

Practices can also use support tools in the Zoetis Learning Centre, accessed via the company’s VetSupport + portal, to support the campaign and track performance.

Penny McCann, Zoetis Equine Product Manager, said: “Responsible worm control is a fundamental aspect of horse health and welfare and it is applicable to every horse owner, everywhere. Our campaign has been designed to provide busy practices with relevant content to encourage regular engagement with clients to inform and educate them.”

Abii Dowdy, the media and marketing coordinator at Towcester Equine Vets continued: “The Worming Control Campaign by Zoetis really helps to boost our social media content! It’s no secret that vets are always busy so finding time for them to write articles and clinical cases can be difficult. Having a schedule of articles to post, as well as the support of the VetSupport + portal, aids the online interaction we have with our present and future clients.”
