4th International Virtual Congress Streamed Live to 54 Countries!

3,000 delegates from 54 countries registered for the recent International Virtual Congress event, organised by the Webinar Vet. With a line-up of 28 high profile speakers over two days, the annual congress and pre-congress CPD event is now the 3rd largest hosted in the UK, says company founder, Anthony Chadwick MRCVS.

With over 40 hours of veterinary CPD, the 4th annual Virtual Congress is the UK’s only online veterinary congress, and attracted speakers and delegates spanning the globe, says Anthony. The event started with a pre-congress day sponsored by the BVA, RCVS, and Agria Pet Insurance to which Webinar Vet members had free attendance. “Pre-congress included a Small Animal Vaccination Symposium with John Helps BVetMed CertSAM MRCVS, Prof Michael Day, Peter Scott MSc BVSc FRCVS and Paula Boyden MRCVS from the Dogs Trust, all of which was kindly sponsored by the BVA,” says Anthony.

The RCVS Mindfulness Symposium also streamed on pre-congress day, with Carolyne Crowe MRCVS, Dr Mike Scanlan and David Bartram MRCVS, which was a huge success, says Anthony. “The mindfulness and wellbeing webinar touched a real nerve for many delegates. Indeed some responded with the suggestion that this stream be made compulsory viewing for employers,” he adds.

“Agria also sponsored a pre-congress Nursing Stream with 3 brilliant hours of free CPD for nurses presented by Martha Cannon and Louise O’Dwyer covered anaesthesia and geriatrics.”

Headline speakers at the 24 hour congress event attracted delegates from around the world. Renowned specialists, Prof Michael Day, Dr Jane Armstrong, Mike Davies BVetMed CertVR CertSAO FRCVS, Dr Colin Harvey and Mike Herrtage MA BVSc DVSc DVR DVD DSAM MRCVS DipECVIM Dip ECVDI drew audiences from near and far, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Republic of Macedonia and UAE, to name a few, says Anthony.

You can’t get further than New Zealand, he quips, and one of the country’s delegates, Christine Mackenzie, owner of Picton Veterinary Clinic, explains what the webinars mean to her: “I do enjoy the webinars and especially the Congress. I try and listen to as many on the day of course as it is harder to get motivated to listen to recordings. However if I get called away, I am often on call as it’s my own single practice, then I can do it again another time. It is such a great idea and so much better than travelling! Keep up the good work,” adds Christine.

The Virtual Congress also raised £3,832.00 for The Webinar Vet’s nominated charity, Dogs Trust, through donations raised by 10% of ticket sales.

For those who missed the live event, fear not as recordings of all the webinars can be purchased at www.theinternationalwebinarvet.comhttp://www.theinternationalwebinarvet.com/ Or call The Webinar Vet team on 01513 240580 for more information. BVA members get 50% off the recordings!
