New BVA Council representatives have been elected for Scotland and the South-West and North-West regions.

New British Veterinary Association Council representatives have been elected for Scotland and the South-West and North-West regions. In the North-West Stephanie Walsh and in the South-West Nicola Eisenhauer have been elected to represent BVA members in their region. Kathleen Robertson has been re-elected for a second term representing members in Scotland. In the East of England Julia Boness and in the South-East Joe Sprinz were re-elected unopposed for second terms.

Representatives are tasked with gathering and representing members’ views on BVA Council as part of the BVA’s policy-making process. Congratulating the representatives BVA President John Blackwell said: "I am delighted to welcome our new reps and welcome back re-elected reps to the overarching policy-making body that is BVA Council. Their work in ensuring that every BVA member can feed in their views is crucial to the success of Council and to the credibility of BVA’s policies. Thank you to everyone who put themselves forward, as well as those members who took part in the election.

“I encourage BVA members to feed their views in to their regional reps, whether they are on animal health and welfare issues or topics affecting the profession. You can contact your regional representative through your regional forum on the BVA Community.“
