Merial has unveiled its new parasite control product for dogs. NexGard is a highly palatable soft chew for flea and tick control. It offers convenient flea and tick control in a highly palatable soft chew that dogs love, proven to increase compliance by up to 24% compared with a classical chewable tablet. NexGard contains the novel active ingredient afoxolaner, an isoxazoline based compound with a new and distinct mode of action, providing a fast speed of flea kill.

NexGard is a prescription-only product that can be given with or without food. It is available in four sizes for oral administration to puppies older than 8 weeks of age and adult dogs weighing more than 2kg.
