Vet drugs stolen in Newcastle found in woods

Potentially fatal veterinary drugs which were stolen from a car in Newcastle have been found in nearby woods.

The drugs were taken in the Gosforth area of the city sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.

Medication including a bottle of Pentoject, small injectable bottles of Sedator, and a small bottle of Alvegesic were stolen.

Northumbria Police said they have now found the drugs dumped in a wood.

The drugs were stolen from a Skoda parked at Princes Meadow.

Police had earlier warned they could be fatal to any humans who took them.
